Teacher Bios

The Sand Cats class includes two teachers to serve you: Alicia Davila and Alishia Wendtlandt. Both teachers work Monday through Thursday.

Alicia Davila (Monday - Thursday)

Hello, my name is Alicia Davila, and I am your four-day teacher for Sand Cats! I am a mother of 3 boys (6, 4, and under 1) and am married to my high school sweet heart (7 years). I am Army brat turned Army wife turned National Guard wife. I love to paint and craft in my free time. I am currently studying to obtain my CDA for infant/toddler classroom. I have been teaching for 3 years and I love it! I have taught 4-5 year olds, in-home daycare, and toddlers (2-3)! Helping children learn and grown is one of my favorite things! I am very excited for this year and can't wait to see what fun we get into!

Alishia Wendtlandt (Monday - Thursday)

My name is Alishia Wendtlandt. I grew up in West Texas and New Mexico. I have been in the Austin area for about 8 years now. I have two amazing children. Ollie turns 4 in September and Nora just turned 1 in June. My wonderful husband, Adrian, is a solar installer. We have a 12-year-old westie named Rocko. Our hobbies include: going to the pool, nature walks, short bike rides, going for ice cream, & just chillin at home. I am a doTERRA wellness advocate. I have also been a hairstylist for 15 years. I left the salon about 2 years ago to be closer to my kids. Ollie has been attending MDOCP for the last 2 years. Last year I started subbing and was overjoyed to be able to start teaching full time this year. God has given me this wonderful opportunity to work in the same building as my babies! I enjoy being around kids and couldn't be happier with the MDOCP program.
