Teacher Bios

The Penguins class includes three teachers to serve you: Linda Partin, Courtney Holmes, and Tonya Horn. Linda works Monday through Thursday, Courtney works Monday and Wednesday, and Tonya works Tuesday and Thursday.

Linda Partin (Monday - Thursday)

Hello, my name is Linda Ximena Partin. I am a mother of 2 wonderful daughters, ages 13 and 19, and married to my husband, Tracy. I am originally from the country of Colombia. I earned my degree in social studies while in Ecuador. We are a Christian family, attending First Baptist Church Kyle.

I found out how much I enjoy working with children, especially the Pre-K age. Therefore, my focus has been on teaching the little ones. I chose to further my study in Pre-K teaching, so I attended hours of training to obtain my Texas Day Care Director's License.

I have worked approximately 4 years at MDOCP and have been enjoying every minute of it! I love working with the children and the staff. I enjoy the Christian atmosphere and teaching the curriculum at MDOCP. I look forward to many more years educating my students and serving as a positive role model for them.

Courtney Holmes (Monday/Wednesday)

Hello, I’m Courtney. :) My husband Justin and I recently relocated from Austin to the San Marcos/Kyle area, and were blessed to have our two children join the program in the Fall of 2018. Cora (4) is in the Frogs class and Paige (1 year) is in the Fish class and they absolutely love it here!!!

I was born and raised in Southeast Texas (The Golden Triangle), and met Justin in 2012. We were married in 2013 in the lovely Taos, New Mexico. After starting our family, I went back to school and earned my Associates Degree in Liberal Arts. It has been a wonderful experience to stay at home with my girls, but I am excited to have the opportunity to work with other children. I love the arts, baking, my morning coffee and getting outside for a long walk. This will be my first year teaching, and I am so humbled and grateful that God has led me to this place where I can guide little ones in their precious first years of life.

Tonya Horn (Tuesday/Thursday)

I am blessed to be a mom of three, with another little one on the way. My husband and I moved to the Kyle area over 2 years ago, and we love calling First Baptist Church Kyle our church home. This will be our family's 3rd year attending MDOCP and my 2nd year of teaching.

Teaching has been a passion of mine since college, and I'm so thankful I get to fulfill that love and still stay close to my little ones.
