Teacher Bios

The Penguins class includes three teachers to serve you: Linda Partin, Felicia Soethcing, and Tonya Horn. Linda works Monday through Thursday, Felicia works Monday and Wednesday, and Tonya works Tuesday and Thursday.

Linda Partin (Monday - Thursday)

Hello, my name is Linda Ximena Partin. I am a mother of 2 wonderful daughters, ages 13 and 19, and married to my husband, Tracy. I am originally from the country of Colombia. I earned my degree in social studies while in Ecuador. We are a Christian family, attending First Baptist Church Kyle.

I found out how much I enjoy working with children, especially the Pre-K age. Therefore, my focus has been on teaching the little ones. I chose to further my study in Pre-K teaching, so I attended hours of training to obtain my Texas Day Care Director's License.

I have worked approximately 4 years at MDOCP and have been enjoying every minute of it! I love working with the children and the staff. I enjoy the Christian atmosphere and teaching the curriculum at MDOCP. I look forward to many more years educating my students and serving as a positive role model for them.

Felicia Soethcing (Monday/Wednesday)

I am a native Texan having been born and raised in New Braunfels, Texas where I met and married my high school sweetheart, Keith. Keith was diagnosed with brain cancer in early 2017 and passed away in January of this year. Together we have lived in various Texas cities and raised three children. Our oldest, Paul, is a 23-year-old Texas School for the Deaf grad of '14 and completed a degree in welding from TSTC in '15. Elizabeth, 20, is currently a Junior at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Arizona where she is studying Software Engineering.

Our youngest daughter, Grace, age 16, is a high school Junior at TSD and is showing an interest in someday working with animals. I began working as an MDO teacher in 2007 and started here at FBC Kyle's MDOCP working with 1 and 2-year-olds in 2014. In my free time I enjoy reading, crocheting and relaxing by the pool or at the beach. I am a self-proclaimed child at heart and will likely never fully grow up.

Tonya Horn (Tuesday/Thursday)

I am blessed to be a mom of three, with another little one on the way. My husband and I moved to the Kyle area over 2 years ago, and we love calling First Baptist Church Kyle our church home. This will be our family's 3rd year attending MDOCP and my 2nd year of teaching.

Teaching has been a passion of mine since college, and I'm so thankful I get to fulfill that love and still stay close to my little ones.
