Teacher Bios

The Monkeys class includes three teachers to serve you: Leah Cady, Jane Geroy, and Julia Flint. Leah works Monday through Thursday, Jane works Monday and Wednesday, and Julia works Tuesday and Thursday.

Leah Cady (Monday - Thursday)

Leah lives in Kyle with her husband of seventeen years and is a mom of four kids ages 2-16. She most recently has been a substitute teacher for K-12 and a fitness instructor. Her experience also includes years in children's ministry, Girl Scout Leader and youth sports coach. When she is able to carve out some free time, Leah enjoys reading, live music and thrift shopping.

Jane Geroy (Monday/Wednesday)

My name is Jane Geroy and this will be my 4th year teaching at MDOCP. I have taught other ages ranging from Adult English classes to Kindergarten and a few ages in between. This year will be my 7th year teaching preschoolers! They are SO much fun! I graduated from Schreiner University with a Bachelors in Exercise Science and then got my teacher certification a few years later. I am so thankful for the opportunity to work with children. I believe teaching is part of my calling and each year that I teach I continue to learn right along with the kids. My husband Jude and I, along with our two kids, have lived in Kyle for about six years now and each year it feels more and more like home!

Julia Flint (Tuesday/Thursday)

Hi everyone! My name is Julia Flint and this is my second year teaching at MDOCP! I am so excited to be teaching in the Monkeys class this year. I look forward to implementing lots of fun, hands-on activities and working on our reading and letter recognition! My husband Sean is an active duty Captain in the US Army and currently an ROTC instructor at Texas State. We have three awesome kids, Connor (7), Hayley (4) and Caroline (2)! I went to the University of Tennessee for undergrad and Shandoah University for my masters in elementary education. I can't wait to see all that God has in store for this school year in the Monkeys class!
